Guest Post: Beautiful Rooms, French Inspired
Hello, all! It's Mari here from Arcadian Home blog, a great online place to find lots of interior design inspiration including ideas for lighting from fabulous foyer lighting to romantic chandeliers for the bath. I'm so happy to be sharing a guest post with you here at Toasts & Spills.
Today, we're going to explore lovely French rooms. To inspire your design dreams, I've pulled together some of my favorites. Classic design, a modern look or a lovely mixtureóthey all have that certain somethingóthe appealing look of French design. Please enjoy!
As seen over at Elle Decor, this stunning Paris apartment with its 1860s architecture has been given an update and a modernist point of view by Danish designer Klavs Rosenfalck. I am intrigued by the flawless merging of styles.
Another space combines classic French architecture with modernist furnishings. This one is dressed in pale hues that create a decidedly feminine mood.
A lovely airy space hits all the right notesótall beautifully draped windows, elegant French daybed, massive crystal chandelieróclassic with an updated feel.
From stunning floor to "cloudy" ceiling this Paris apartment is quite lovely. That fabulous wall treatment brings the space to life. A modern pendant light in gray metal with brass trim can be seen in the adjoining bedroom.
Here's a bit of French countryórustic space with glamorous chandelier, the requisite elegantly upholstered settee and a table for two with crisp white linensóall exactly as we expect from this iconic style.
I am captivated by Josephine Gintzburger's Paris apartment. It is such a wonderful mix of styles and colors from stormy hues to vibrant joyful pops of pink and red. The kitchen is my favorite room. As eloquently illustrated here, elegant chandeliers and contemporary lamps work beautifully together throughout the apartment.
Here is a peek into the office off the living room of the Paris apartment shown in the first image above. The emerald glass sculpture can be seen in both photos. Silvery floor to ceiling draperies are a gorgeous design choice.
I leave you with a look at an elegant little dining vignette with the iconic Eiffel Tower in the distanceóa perfect golden moment in time. Doesn't every girl dream of breakfast in Paris? Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8
