One Day I Will...

have my very own gorgeous kitchen and cook all the foods I dream of cooking. I'll have dinner parties. And picnics. And family dinners. I'll get to open up a recipe book and tackle a recipe just "because it sounds good for dinner." I'm excited for that day. And I'm excited to see all that I come up with and conquer. Those are going to be some great meals.

On a happy note, I layed out today. In the perfect sunshine. It made for a great afternoon.

White and Cream, the perfect match.

Another Saturday morning. Except now, the weather's now so much better and the Saturday's are becoming perfect. You can actually go outside and bask in the sun. My sister's in town and we've had so much fun! After a little shopping this afternoon and an enjoyable lunch, this will be a fabulous day. Speaking of fabulous, I love rooms that are decorated with combination of white and cream. Everything looks so clean and simple. And then you're able to add pops of color along the way. Not to mention, the golden sun light looks great shining in a white room. Here are a couple pictures to prove my point.

Ohhh Wednesdays...

So today was a bit of a spill with its stressfulness and all, yet a smile still remained on my face and a bounce was still found in my step. I really think this sunshine and chaco weather helps me out. Not too much of a post today but here are some fun photographs, in all their girly glory.
I hope you enjoy today, in all your girly glory!

Turn It Up.

1) Peter Bradley Adams / Longer I Run
2) Rosie Thomas / Guess It May
3) Vienna Teng / City Hall
4) Joshua Radin / Paperweight
5) Paige Aufhammer / Longer Road
6) She & Him / You Really Got a Hold On Me

This week's playlist calls for a cup of coffee and conversation just like the last one did. Apparently, I'm in a mellow mood these days. I'll have to share an up-beat playlist next time. Something that will get you out of your seat and movin. These are my favorite songs this week and I could seriously listen to every single one on repeat, on a blanket outside, with a nice breeze, during the golden hour, of course. Number 3 is my super favorite. Adorable lyrics, perfect beat and an angelic voice. And yes, Rosie Thomas made the list again. I don't know if she'll ever get kicked off.

"My baby's lookin' so darned pretty with those anxious eyes,

rainspeckled hair, and my ring to wear....

Oh, me and my baby standing in line.

You've never seen a sight so fine,

than the love that's gonna shine down at City Hall."

Pop of Pink.

I'm not much of a pink kind of girl. But sometimes, the color just fits. And on this beautiful warm, spring day, after being cold all week in glorious Colorado, the color fits.
I hope everyone made it through this dreaded Monday. 6 weeks until graduation and summertime. Oh thank you Jesus. Now that, is a reason to celebrate.
ps, I fell more in love this past week. That boy of mine....he's really great.

A Toast to...

A beautiful white bed that is screaming my name:

Really great fashion and the perfect way to layer:

A honey colored bedroom with perfect sunlight:

Piling on all your jewelry and it looking so great:

A really huge bathroom with just the right amount of frames:

The cutest pop of red in a blazer:

I leave for Colorado early in the morning and I'll definitely toast to that. Plus running through the airport to see my handsome man.
Have a fabulous weekend all!

We should celebrate.

I think there should be a quaint celebration every year for the end of winter and the perfect appearance of spring. To celebrate sunshine and aviators. Picnics and lemonade. Pedicures and sun kissed skin. It could be held right outside this darling trailor:

And of course there could be some delicious treats set up somewhat like this:

I could twirl in the sun in this adorable little dress:

I would carry my phone and some light pink lip gloss in this perfect little clutch:

These wedges would be quite a fit for my red toenails:
And to top my little outfit off, this glorious necklace will do just fine:

Doesn't that sound like a great plan? You're all invited.

Turn it up.

1) faith's silver elephant / rosie thomas
2) one moment more / mindy smith
3) ice age / pete yorn
4) the dress looks nice on you / sufjan stevens
5) within you / ray lamontagne
6) faded from the winter / iron & wine
All relaxing in their own way, if you put one of these songs on, you're bound to want to want a caramel macchiato and some great conversation. Go on, see if I'm right. Oh, and while you're at it, type Rosie Thomas into Pandora and see what you get. Perfection, that's what.
Happy hump day!

I like your coat.

As I'm getting ready for my Colorado trip, I can't help but get so excited about fluffy snow and gorgeous mountains. Plus some sweet time with my boy and his family. Any of these coats are more than welcome to come along with me. It's a shame I can't make that happen. Of course, most of these would be absolutely useless on the actual slopes, so that makes me feel better.

Saturday in the park.

Staurday I took my cousin's daughter, Emma Joy, to spend late afternoon with me. We didn't catch the zoo before it closed and after one adorable sad face I knew that'd have to be next on the list for another day. We played on the swings. We hid and we seeked. We talked about finger nail polish and flowers. We fed the ducks. And we played on the swings some more.

Thank you Jesus for this precious little girl. We had a perfect day. She told me my finger nails were long but they didnt look very polished, so maybe I'll go tackle that before I crawl into bed.
